Pollen forecast Pazin

Pazin lies in the center of the Istrian peninsula, inland, away from the sea. Due to this, it has a somewhat fresher, more continental climate compared to the coastal Istrian towns, so alongside Mediterranean allergens, meadow grasses from central Istria are felt more strongly.

Main allergens and season

• Late winter and early spring (January–March): cypresses (Cupressaceae) and early tree pollen.
• Spring (April–June): olive from the surrounding olive groves and tree pollen such as hornbeam and oak from Istrian forests.
• Late spring and summer (May–July): meadow grasses in the interior are more pronounced than on the coast itself.
• Spring to autumn (March–October): wall pellitory (Parietaria) with a long season.

The inland position means greater day-night temperature differences and more changeable weather, which affects pollen concentration.
