Pollen forecast Zadar

Zadar lies in northern Dalmatia, surrounded by olive groves, vineyards, and Mediterranean maquis. The coastal, dry, and sunny landscape gives it a pollen profile quite different from continental Croatia — dominated by olive, wall pellitory, and cypress.

Main allergens and season

• Late winter and early spring (January–March): cypress and other cypress species (Cupressaceae) from gardens and tree-lined avenues.
• Spring (April–June): olive is the leading spring allergen of the coast; the flowering of olive trees raises concentrations throughout the Zadar region.
• Spring through autumn (March–October): wall pellitory (Parietaria) with a long season, growing on stone walls and in crevices.
