Pollen and allergies — Bydgoszcz

Bydgoszcz lies in Kujawsko-Pomorskie, on the Brda river and near the Vistula mouth. The city is known for its extensive waterways and green routes — Myślęcinek is one of Europe's largest urban forests, a real forest within the city. The mild lowland climate of central-western Poland supports tree, grass, and weed pollen from early spring through late summer.

Main allergens and season

  • March–April: hazel and alder, followed by birch in the surrounding forests.
  • April–May: birch, oak, and ash.
  • May–July: grasses on meadows, clearings, and roadsides.
  • August–September: mugwort and ragweed on unmown plots and near roads.

The forecast uses the European CAMS model through Open-Meteo. Levels are modeled, not measured at a local station within this service, so they are orientative.
