Pollen and allergies — Łódź
Łódź has fewer major river valleys than cities on the Vistula, but its parks, allotments, Łagiewnicki Forest, and post-industrial land create a mosaic of plant habitats. Urban trees matter to residents, as do grasses and weeds on the outskirts.
Main allergens and season
- February–March: hazel and alder, with poplar and willow in some areas.
- April–May: birch, ash, and oak in parks and Łagiewnicki Forest.
- May–July: grasses on meadows, allotments, and unmown verges.
- August–September: mugwort and ragweed on ruderal land and near railways.
